Recovery from addiction continues at Acqua despite the continued COVID-19 outbreak. We’ve already put robust coronavirus protection plans in place to protect our staff. Now, as part of the Utah Leads Together plan from the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to announce thatAcqua Recovery is committed to staying safe to stay open. We are thoroughly following state health guidelines to show we care for and appreciate our patients and to protect our greater community. We are devoted to practicing these seven safe habits as outlined in the Utah Leads Together plan to maintain high standards for fighting COVID-19. As a team, we pledge to:

  • Conduct temperature checks before work and stay home when we are sick.

  • Wash our hands frequently and avoid touching our face and eyes.

  • Practice physical distancing including wearing face coverings in close common areas.

  • Cover our mouths when we cough or sneeze.

  • Learn about high-risk groups and help

  • protect them.

  • Clean high touch surfaces frequently.

  • Follow public health guidance as updated.

Dr. Pickrell is a board-certified psychiatrist with interests in addiction and psychiatry. He strives to identify the underlying cause of substance use. His understanding of addiction as the overlapping symptoms of biopsychosocial development is the foundation to his care model. He is committed to helping both patients and families understand that addiction is a treatable medical illness. He has been involved in the treatment of addiction for the last 17 years and completed his residency training at the University of Utah.
